At Formosa Neijia, we offer classes in the ancient Chinese martial art of taichi and the health practice of qigong that cater to your needs as a modern, busy person. We make the past relevant to the present by bringing you the fruits of these ancient practices in convenient sessions at times that fit your schedule. You’ll learn how to let go of mental and physical tension, regain your flexibility and health, how to defend yourself all in an innovative and fun environment.

Taichichuan

Times: Monday-Thursday 9-10 a.m. and 7-8 p.m.

Formosa Neijia offers a friendly atmosphere in which you can study the richly rewarding art of taichichuan in Taipei, Taiwan. Our system of taichichuan is rooted in ancient practice, allowing you to plumb the depths of Chinese culture and spirituality, but is also shaped by modern education theory, allowing you to learn the art at a more rapid pace.

Classes are open to people from 18 to 80 and everyone is welcome. We stress basics, form, push hands, and applications in our classes. Advanced material, such as sword and taiji grappling, is also available. I teach the rare form of Chen Pan-ling taijiquan and I’m a certified teacher under his son, Chen Yun-ching, in Taichung (my teaching certificate in Chinese).

Regular practice will improve your health, increase your sense of inner peace, and teach you how to defend yourself against attacks.
